Pharmacy Ledger

  • One of these prescriptions is unlike the others.

Reveals

Bank Statement

  • Using the last three digits of the check number reveals the order in which to read the words on the memo line. Organizing those messages by the date the checks were written reveals a conversation between Charlie and Antonio.
    • Check #341: Here is Return
    • Check #431: Is this All
    • Check #421: Product isn't Moving
    • Check #513: Figure It Out

Blog Screenshot

  • The blog post was made at 9:22 PM on the night of the reunion, meaning that Arthur was busy around the time of Charlie's murder.

Karaoke Video

  • Using the Enhance Audio function, you can hear a conversation between two men, one of whom is audibly distraught. Given that the distraught man is talking about his work in "the lab", it can be deduced that he is Nic, who refers to Charlie by name. This audio clip reveals that Nic and Charlie had a sensitive conversation that Nic wished to keep hidden.

Pharmacy Ledger

  • Arthur's diazepam refill number never decreases, and even when the prescription is logged as expired, it is still being refilled. Arthur claimed that he has not used medication in a while, and was willing to be drug tested to corroborate that fact, lending to his credibility. Each entry is "Admin Approved", suggesting that Charlie was abusing his power as pharmacist to access a continual supply of diazepam.

Socks

  • The blacklight can be used to reveal a hidden message on the slip of paper.
  • It says: "Found these online, reminded me of HS / We should go back to the old delivery system haha".

Toxicology Report

  • Charlie's body was found with benzodiazepines in his blood - specifically a high, but nonfatal volume of diazepam and a lower volume of its metabolite, nordiazepam. The amount of nordiazepam indicates that the diazepam is early in the metabolic transformation stage, showing that Charlie had taken the drug not too long before his death. The presence of alcohol in his bloodstream shows he was also intoxicated at the time of his death, which would have interacted with the benzodiazepine, and likely intensified its effects.

Means

  • While Arthur once had a prescription for the drug used to incapacitate Charlie, he has not been the one using his diazepam refills. Someone else with access to diazepam, either from Arthur's expired prescription or through their own means, is more likely to have drugged Charlie. These facts are confirmed by:

    • Prescription (Episode 2): Confirms that Arthur had a prescription for diazepam.
    • Toxicology Report: Shows that diazepam was in Charlie's bloodstream at his time of death, as well as alcohol.
    • Pharmacy Ledger: Corroborates that Arthur once had a prescription for diazepam, but the system had been overridden by the administrator of the pharmacy for refills after the prescription had expired.
    • Drug Test Survey: Arthur said he had not been on medication for some time, and was willing to be drug tested to support that fact.

Motive

  • Arthur has no clear motive for murder. He was frank and candid in his witness statement, which leads to his credibility, even though he misled the investigator by making it seem as if he was more helpful with the cleaning of the cafeteria than the timing of the upload to his blog proves.

Opportunity

  • Arthur could not have been at the murder scene at the time of Charlie's death because the uncovered video he uploaded to his blog was timestamped just 15 minutes before Charlie's time of death. He would not have had time to drive out to The Grove, strangle Charlie, and drive back in time to finish cleaning with Aura. Additionally, Charlie was seen leaving with someone, and there's still no accounting for them. These facts are confirmed by:

    • Blog Screenshot: Timestamp corroborates that Arthur was at the school just 15 minutes before Charlie's time of death.
    • Antonio's Statement (Episode 1): Corroborates that Charlie left the reunion with someone else in his car, meaning that someone else's whereabouts are unaccounted for at the time of the murder.
