Reveals

Accident Report

  • According to the initial findings, Jake's death was the result of an accidental malfunction of the StageControl software.
  • 1:20 - Performers and crew go on break while Jake continues to rehearse alone.
  • 1:30 - Star prop falls, killing Jake.
  • 1:32 - Peter Bowman finds Jake's body and calls the police. Before the stage can be closed off, Dean Castillo, Rachel Day, Gabriel Fontes, Marcus Tate, and Oliver Stuart arrive at the scene.

Email Screenshot

  • There is no obvious tension between Jake and Peter, and distrust on both sides due to something from the past.

ID Board Photo

  • The ID board photo lists the suspects in the case. They are Ollie, Peter, Rachel, Marcus, Dean, and Gabe.

Magazine Page

  • According to this article, the makers of StageControl believe their software did not cause the accident.

Show Rider

  • The rider lists who was assigned A-level badges. Connected to the ID board photo, it is possible to narrow down a list of suspects, as these are the people who would have access to the entire venue.

Spike Chart

  • By combining the information from the accident report, it is revealed that the spot where Jake was supposed to be standing for his solo was where the star fell. This does not match with where the mark is in the crew member photos.

Venue Map

  • Using the information in the witness statements, you can determine where each character claims to be at the time of the accident.

    • Gabriel: Trailer A
    • Peter: Ticket Booth
    • Dean: Trailer B
    • Marcus: Parking Lot
    • Rachel: Trailer A
    • Ollie: Loading Dock

VIP Badge/Lanyard

  • The fine print on the badge states that anyone with A-level clearance had access to every area of the venue, which would include the stage control's booth.

Website/J4F Forum

  • The crew photo with marking tape on stage shows the marks do not match the spike chart. According to the spike chart, Jake's mark (the pink tape) should be in front of the dark blue box for the star. In the photograph, his mark is inside that blue box.
  • Someone moved Jake's mark to put it in the path of the star when it fell, setting up his eventual death. The dark blue tape is obscured by the black stage, making it hard to notice at first glance.

Witness Statements

  • Combining the information from the accident report and venue map should illuminate where each character was and when they were there. Several of the stories directly contradict each other.

    • Gabe: Approached by Rachel and had a short conversation with her on the way to Trailer A. Afterward she left, and he made a video for his fans until a loud noise brought him back to the stage.
    • Peter: Was making his way back from the ticket booth when he found Jake.
    • Dean: Offered to help Jake work on his solo but was rejected. Then went to Trailer B, where he heard Rachel who was upset, and he didn't hear anyone else with her. Returned to the stage around the same time as Ollie.
    • Marcus: During the break, he went to the parking lot to meet up with an unnamed friend. When he returned to the stage, everything was already chaotic.
    • Rachel: Went on break at the same time as Gabe, whom she talked to for 20 minutes. She returned to the stage before Gabe to see Peter on the phone and Jake dead.
    • Ollie: Spent his break in the loading dock with Ken, the stage manager. He heard a loud sound, but did not react. He returned to the stage at 1:40 to find Jake dead. He immediately went back to get Ken to inform him of what happened.
