Previously on Starstruck...
Michelle Gray asked you to determine if Jake's death was really an accident or if superfan Shannon's suspicion of foul play is validated.
After discovering a discrepancy between Jake's planned position on the stage and where his mark was in a photograph, it became clear that Jake's mark on the stage had been moved just before the accident in order to put him in harm's way. This seemed to confirm Shannon's suspicions that Jake was murdered.
Michelle decided to put you in touch with Shannon to handle the case from there.

Reveals
Band Contract
- The band's initials are not aligned properly on the bottom of the contract, showing that they have been xeroxed on from this original version (the hidden contract). However, Peter's initials were added on, as well as several edits to the contract that directly benefit Peter and Star Sign Entertainment. Peter falsified the band members' consent to this new contract.
- Under both this contract and the hidden contract, the band members do receive a percentage of their profits, pricing rumor 2 is incorrect.
Handwritten Letter
- Using the blacklight reveals the letter is signed with sergeant stripes.
- Jake reveals in his interview that the band called Rachel "Sarge".
- This proves that rumor 3, about the band member being in a secret relationship, is true. Someone in the band was in a relationship with Rachel.
Hidden Contract
- This contradicts information in the band contract, revealing that Peter lied to the band members. The differences between this contract and the new one are the band members making less money than they thought and the record company having the right to take out health insurance policies on the band members, when originally the members were told they were on their own for getting insurance.
Jake Interview
- Jake keeps his fan mail at his mother's house, proving rumor 1 is incorrect.
- Jake reveals that the band refers to Rachel as "Sarge", which is a clue for the handwritten letter.
- Jake tells what actually happened the day the band played hooky, proving rumor 5 is incorrect.
Tabloid Page

Website/J4F Forum
- On the J4F forum, someone uploaded a demo reel made by Dean. The reel shows Dean's background is in commercial jingles, not opera, proving rumor 4 is incorrect.
