Episode 2

Hints

"The Dragon Devouring the Companions of Cadmus" Print

  • A grayscale version of a painting, in which a dragon is biting and devouring Cadmus' colleagues, while Cadmus is battling in the background. There are clear censors that cover most of the gore images. These clear censors will interact with JWJ's letter.

John William James Letter

  • Aligning the bottom censor of the Cadmus Print in the correct place over the letter will reveal a secret message. The line just above the salutations reads: "And remember, here I am." This phrase is the first clue for where to place the bottom censor.

Listening Friends of America Letter

  • George Madson, with an additional title, thanks you for continuing your "voluntary enrollment" within the LFoA program. It is important to understand that your relationship with JWJ is your choice. It is also important to note that LFoA attempts to protect you from "suspicious documents" that may be found in your package.

Lloyd McGowan Personal File

  • Includes medical records, incident reports, a letter from Dr. Richter to George Madson, and a letter from Madson to Heather. The inclusion of this file suggests JWJ is receiving help from someone within LFoA to avoid package restrictions.

The Poem

  • The first line of the third stanza begins with "Here I am", a repetition of the strange phrasing found in the letter. Following this line of the poem, there are 3 words spelled backward that give more instruction to reveal the secret message found in JWJ's letter.

Tooth

  • The alligator tooth is meant to represent a dragon's tooth. It is important to research what Cadmus used dragon teeth for, and how that action may align with JWJ's intentions.

Reveals

John William James Letter

  • By arranging the lowest censor over the word "Here" in the fourth paragraph of the letter, the remaining censors will reveal the phrase: "DISCOVER, DON'T BELIEVE THEM."

The Poem

  • The 3 words spelled backward are "llewspring", "ecalp", and "seloh", revealing the message "WELL PLACE HOLES".
