The blue and yellow colors overlap at points to make green. When reading the words in those green areas, a message is revealed:

  • "A STEADY HOLD ON HER CONDITION. WE DO NOT EXPECT HER TO RECOVER."

Grace's Instructions

Assuming the symbols at the bottom of the letter from Grace spell her name, you learn the symbols for G, R, A, C, E. These can be applied to the practice sheet. The rest can be deduced by looking at what the word as a whole could possibly be in the English alphabet.

Letter from Grace

According to this letter, Isabella, Grace's granddaughter, was kidnapped, tortured, and returned to her.

  • The ordeal was so traumatic, it caused Isabella to become catatonic.

Grace tells us she's met us before, in a "dream space". She believes we can help with her granddaughter, Isabella.

Grace speaks of a "faceless evil".

  • Is she referring to an evil in the woods, the evil that took Isabella?

The symbols at the bottom of the letter can be assumed to spell out "GRACE", which can be used toward decoding the "spirit alphabet".

Moon Pendant

The moon pendant was given to us by Grace. She believes if we habitually wear it to bed, we will be able to meet with her in the "dream space".

Sage Bundle

The sage bundle was given to us by Grace. She intended for us to cleanse and purify the air of our surroundings.

Scanned Diary Pages

The diary pages belong to that of Isabella.

Isabella mentions writing by candlelight.

  • Do they not have electricity?
  • Is it just because they live out in the woods and can't get power that far out, or is it because of the "lightning" Grace "fears" mentioned in the blog?

Why was Isabella only taken into town a few times, even before the incident? Why was she so sheltered from the outside world?

  • Is town far from where she lives?
  • Is she kept sheltered by Grace, her grandmother, for some secret reason?

The symbols on the second page translate to "PROTECTION". This is the password for the locked "Sage" blog.

Tree Rubbing

According to the letter from Grace, these rubbings were created by Isabella in an attempt to communicate with the wood spirits.

This code is cracked using the semaphore (flag) code.
